Robert F. Smith has been blind since a few days after he was born. But that hasn’t kept him from being a visionary dreamer. He’s on a quest to be the first blind man to throw out the first pitch and sing the national anthem in every Minor and Major League Baseball park. Why, you ask? To inspire people to join him in doing a million acts of intentional kindness. Even his first pitches and singing the National Anthem are intended as kind acts in themselves. Robert wants to show the disabled, the disadvantaged, and all of us that each one of us has the power to find a new way, beyond what we have ever imagined.
While Robert’s entrepreneurial venture is for profit, his heart is with helping non-profit organizations. Twenty-one percent of each contribution will go directly to supporting the following three charities equally, the American Foundation for the Blind (Robert is a member of this fine organization), Pitch In For Baseball (affiliated with Little League®) and the Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of Southern California!
